New Audit Committee Role for Mark

Mark has been appointed to the audit committee of leading multi academy trust, the Dean Trust. The Trust runs 6 schools across the North West of England, including 4 secondaries and 2 primary schools. The Trust recently celebrated the award of a new free school opportunity for Manchester City Council in Ardwick. Says Mark, “I am looking forward to working with fellow members of the audit committee to help the trust further develop its governance practice and internal controls following this further exciting period of growth. The role is also giving me a unique insight into some of the operational issues of running a family of schools.”  Nick David, Finance Director of the Dean Trust said “We welcome Mark’s professional input to the work of our audit committee. The creation of an independent audit committee is now recommended best practice for all multi-academy trusts and with the right skills and experience it can provide a very valuable role as a critical friend.”
