CICs Celebrate 10th Anniversary
The Community Interest Company Association has announced a 2015 Survey of CICs. Speaking at the 10th anniversary event for CICs in London today, CIC Association Chairman John Mulkerrin said:
‘It is ten years since the legislation passed into law, and we feel this is a perfect time to build a comprehensive data set of just what is happening on the ground, the impacts being achieved and the challenges faced.’
‘The data will be anonoymised and made available to all in a opensource format. This data will also enable us to highlight common challenges, this year for example we have a section on business rates as many CICs have had issues with the process of obtaining business rates relief from their local authority.’
