Project Description

Mark Johnson will be exploring new models for GP Practices : Five Year Forward View when he presents at ‘General Practice – Organising to Succeed’ on 23 February 2016 at Grant Thornton, Spinningfields, Manchester from 5pm. This event, organised by Forward View Group, will bring together opinion formers and service leaders from GP practices and CCGs across the North West to explore the future shape of GP practices in the face of a ‘perfect storm’ of funding pressures, recruitment and retention problems and rising demand from patients. Greater Manchester is presented with some exciting opportunities by the recent devolution settlement for health and social care. Mark will be examining the different options for legal structures for general practice to respond to the multiple pressures. Hear also from James Cook, Head of Healthcare Commissioning, Grant Thornton and Dr Mark Newbold, CEO of Our Health Partnership, Birmingham’s new super practice.
